ביבי או ציפי???  Netanyahu or Livni

 

 

אביגדור ליברמן יגיע לבית הנשיא מחר (יום חמישי) בבוקר בשעה 10:30. הוא ימליץ על נתניהו או על ציפי לבני, לראשות הממשלה.

תשובתו עשויה להשפיע על החלטת פרס מי יהיה ראש הממשלה הבאה.

 

כל המפלגות שהן שותפות טבעיות של נתניהו, מתנגדות למדינה פלשתינית או נוטות להתנגד. גם נתניהו בעצמו נוטה להתנגד.

לעומתו – ציפי לבני כתבה בכל תעמולת הבחירות שלה שהיא בעד הקמת מדינה פלשתינית כלומר בעד צעד מטורף אשר יביא למתקפת טילים על ירושלים, תל-אביב, גוש דן,  נמל-תעופה בן-גוריון, וכו'. זו הסיבה שליברמן חייב להמליץ על נתניהו.

א. סקר שערכנו סמוך לבחירות מלמד,כי 58% ממצביעי ליברמן יצביעו למפלגה אחרת אם יחשבו שליברמן תומך במדינה פלשתינית!

Avigdor Liberman will go to President Peres's house tomorow (Thursday) at 10:30 AM and will recommend either Netanyahu or Zipi Livni as prime-minister. His decision may affect Peres's decision on whether or not to allow Netanyahu to set up a government.

 

All of Netanyahu's natural partners, including Netanyahu himself, oppose or tend to oppose a Palestinian state. In contrast, all of Livni's election campaign literature stated clearly that she is in favor of establishing a Palestinian terror state just a bike-ride away from Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, Gush Dan and Ben-Gurion airport. This is why Liberman MUST recommend Netanyahu – not Livni: so that Israel's government will say no — not yes — to another terror state!

 

Background: Last month, Liberman's party gave the public, at our request, a written commitment to oppose Palestinian state, as we informed you before the elections. Also, a poll we ordered just before the elections showed that 58% of Liberman's voters would vote for someone else if they thought Liberman's party was favoring establishment of a Palestinian state!

BRIEF UPDATE

Likud have not yet indicated definitively that they are against Palestinian state and against withdrawals (although Dr. Benny Begin was a welcome addition to the no-Palestinian-state camp yesterday on the Tamar Yonah radio show; please therefore await clarification and in the meantime prefer Ichud Leumi, Mafdal or Shas if possible. Yisrael Beytenu are definitively against Palestinian state however party chairman Avigdor Liberman personally is not, and he also is not willing to undertake to recommend to Peres that Netanyahu's (no-Palestinian-state-leaning) government be preferred over Livni's (yes-to-Palestinian state) government. Therefore, prefer Ichud Leumi, Likud Mafdal or Shas over Yisrael Beytenu in the meantime.

The family phone book: Today and on election day — go over your family phone book and neighborhood acquaintances to try to find at least a  few more votes for the no-Palestinain state camp: Ichud Leumi, Mafdal, Shas, and to a lesser extent Likud and Yisrael Beytenu. Secular voters who are not willing to vote for Netanyahu or Liberman: point out Ichud Leumi's Prof. Aryeh Eldad, former commander of the IDF's Medical Corps, founder of Israel's skin bank, former professor at Hebrew U's Medical School, former department head at Hadassa Hospital, SECULAR. Don't forget the people you do miluim with — call them too.

Call your grandchildren!! Young voters often have no idea what to vote — so, parents and especially grandparents please call all of your 18-19-20-21 year old children and grandchildren and make sure they are voting against Palestinian state: Ichud Leumi, Mafdal, Shas, and to a lesser extent Likud and Yisrael Beytenu. Young women have a high tendency not to vote, go through all the young women in your family phone book.

GOOD LUCK ON ELECTION DAY! It's not enough to vote yourself, you need to bring at least one additional, deliberating or former leftwing person with you — that will make the election results twice as good, twice as positive.

Update: Liberman is NOT willing to commit to recommend Netanyahu as premier to President Peres. The problem is that Netanyahu's coalition would be made up of parties who oppose Palestinian state (Ichud Leumi, Mafdal, Shas) or at least tend against it (Likud and Yisrael Beytenu itself). In contrast, Livni's coalition would be made up of those parties who have learned NOTHING from the past and are in favor of a Palestinian state which would shoot rockets at all of us. 

If Liberman is not willing to give a public promise about this crucial point (and also to clarify his own personal position re Palestinian state as opposed to his party's position which is against Palestinian state) it becomes important to prefer a party which is committed politically to the no-Palestinian-state bloc, over Liberman's party. In other words, unless and until clarification has been received from Mr. Liberman (we'll update you if so) — Ichud Leumi, Likud, Mafdal and Shas are "safer bets" than Liberman's Livni-oriented party.

Question: But Liberman isn't going to recommend Livni — he's going to recommend HIMSELF to President Peres as premier! Answer: That might be more than enough to give Peres an excuse to say, more MKs are recommending Livni than are recommending Netanyahu, so I'm going to give the premiership to Livni. Result: Palestinian state – rockets in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem and Ben-Gurion airport.  

 

Answer: Ichud Leumi/Tet – 14 (excellent)

            Mafdal/Bet- 14 (excellent)

            Shas  – 12 (very good)

            Likud/Machal – 8.5 to 9 (medium) (depends if one counts the "good" but currently unrealistic candidates – Nos. 34 onward)

            Yahadut haTorah/Gimmel – 7.75 (only fair)

            Yisrael Beytenu/Lamed – undeterminable; current candidates were not MKs during that period

Details: The above Gush Katif scores are given on a 14-point scale because there were 7 votes about Gush Katif, as follows: Plan; Law – readings 1, 2 and 3; Budget, formation of Deportation Government, and Referendum. Each "good" vote on any issue (such as "against" Deportation plan, "for" referendum) earns 2 points. Not voting or abstaining counts as 1 point, and voting "with the bad guys" (favoring deportation plan, against referendum, etc.) earns 0 points. So, 7 points is neutral — half way between Right and Left. True hardliners get 14 points. Omri Sharon (who fortunately is not a candidate) merited 0 points as did Meretz. If your party doesn't score high — change to another! The above scores are of course averages for all realistic candidates in each party who were in the Knesset in the Gush Katif period.

 

Is it true that big parties get more done than small parties? 

No, actually in Israel the opposite is true. The big parties would like you to think otherwise, but actually, almost every single initiative, particularly regarding Eretz Yisrael, is led by a small party on the right or on the left – depending on whether it is a good initiative or a bad initiative. The small parties lead, the large parties weakly follow.

 

Simply make sure to look around you and actively seek out people who don't know what to vote and people who don't intend to vote. Regard these people as your personal responsibility. Explain to them that to avoid rockets in their living room they should vote for one of the parties which is against Palestinian state: Ichud Leumi-Tet, Jewish Home (Mafdal)-Bet; Likud-Mahal (tends against), and Yisrael Beytenu-Lamed (currently a less good choice). 

 

 Reliable information indicates that the IDF plans on opening the Zion road to Arab traffic (the road next to Chazon David  synagogue ). The following Israelis were murdered on that road: Mordechai Lapid. Shalom Lapid.  Sarit Prigal. Yehezkel Muallem. David Cohen.  98% of Hevron  is in  Arab  hands with Jews not allowed to enter.   The 2% of Hevron that are  in  our hands they also want to open to Arab traffic??

A big topic in the weekend papers was the 27 "unknown" Knesset seats. This is a reference to the hundreds of thousands of Israelis who have no idea who to vote for.

OUR JOB RIGHT NOW, IS TO FIND THESE PEOPLE before Election Day (Tuesday 10 February).  Please look around you for all the people who don't know anything about politics.

Such people need YOUR help in understanding that the main issue of this elections is preventing establishment of a Palestinian state, so no rockets fall into their living room, and they need information from YOU as to which parties are against Palestinian state, namely Ichud Leumi, Mafdal-Bayit Yehudi, Shas and Yisrael-Beytenu (Liberman). They also need your help in understanding this is THEIR  problem because THEY will be in the rocket-range of a Palestinian state, if they live – for example – in or near Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, Ramat-Gan, Petah-Tikva, Holon, Bat-Yam, Givatayim, Bnei-Braq, Rishon leZion, Rehovot, Ramle, Modiin, Kfar Sabat, Netanya, Herzlia, Raanana, BG Airport, etc.

Look for members of your family or community who aren't into politics, look for young people who are first time voters, raise the issue with your baker, your banker, your doctor, your cleaner, your neighbor, your grocer and your metapelet. You can also go up to people on the street who have kindly cheery expressions. Ask them very frankly do they know that elections are being held, and who were they thinking of voting for. As soon as you hear "I just don't know…", explain to them about Palestinian state and how important it is for them to protect themselves by voting against it. Discuss the above parties with them in very simple terms and figure out which is best for them. FLASH! Even the Likud has mumbled a few words against Palestinian state: http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1233050185988&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull — this occurred of course because of all of hard our work against Palestinian state — thanks again to all volunteers, donors, flyer distributors, etc.

 

You will find many people who do not even know there are elections. You will find people voting for Barak and Livni simply because those are the only 2 politicians they have heard of ("I saw them on television" — they mean, during the war.) You need to explain to those people that Barak and Livni are FOR Palestinian state and for that reason it would be foolish to vote for them. These people will often agree eagerly to vote for what you recommend, because most people, being sensible and normal, are not happy about the thought of a rocket landing in their living room, and Palestinian state will bring the rockets to EVERYBODY'S living room, including EVERY big city in Israel that you can think of.

 

As soon as you find a person of this description, please immediately write down their contact particulars so you can call them on election day and remind them of the party you both decided was best for them. Interesting tip by Yediot Ahronot's Hanoch Daum (precis):

"Zipi Livni's last chance to become prime-minister, simply, is if the Religious Zionists vote for the Likud. That is the only way that Netanyahu can lose these elections. The calculation is simple: by all accounts, the right bloc is 62 – 66 mandates. However, if the Religious Zionists vote Likud, the Ichud Leumi and Bayit Yehudi, which currently are just over the minimum percentage ("achuz chasima") will not get into the Knesset, in which case the right block loses about 6 mandates. This will give the left a majority of 61 mandates…. The calculations that the Religious Zinoists must make is simple: 4 – 5 mandates will vote for Ichud Leumi and Bayit Yehudi whatever happens. The question then becomes, is it better for some lady from BetShemesh, the Likud's No. 32, to get into the Knesset, and for the Bayit Yehudi and Ichud Leumi to be knocked out of the Knesset, or is it better for the lady from Bet Shemesh not to get in, and for Ketzaleh, Orlev, Hershowitz and Uri Ariel etc. to get in. One or two mandates for Likud can thus knock off SIX mandates for the right-wing bloc.

 

"Netanyahu at this week's press release asked the Religious Zionists to vote for Likud. I can understand him, but if he thinks about it, he will avoid this dangerous step. This could be a Pyrrhic victory. Netanyahu has to understand that the Ichud Leumi and Bayit Yehudi are just over the edge. They will make it into the Knesset, but if he moves against him they will not, and he – Netanyahu — will be the big loser if that happens.

 

"If the Bayit Yehudi and Ichud Leumi do not clear the minimum percentage ("achuz chasima"), Livni will be prime-minister….Sometimes the bottom line is simple…Rightwing religious voters who want Netanyahu to be prime-minister, should vote Bayit Yehudi and Ichud Leumi".
