הנדון: דחוף לפני ביקור האפיפיור

כרבנים הראשיים לישראל – התבקשתם לאשר בדחיפות קיום מיסות (תפילות נוצריות) רשמיות ציבוריות בקבר דוד המלך בהר ציון בירושלים.

התבקשתם לאשר זאת דחוף לפני ביקור האפיפיור — שהרי יש בישראל חופש דת. ברצוני להעיר:

א. חופש דת יש בהרבה מדינות. אך האם האפיפיור היה מסכים מייד ובחדווה, אילו מאות או אלפי יהודים היו דורשים פתאום לקיים הקפות שניות או קריאת מגילה או כל טקס המוני אחר, בקפלה הסיסטינית ברומא!?

ב. לנוצרים יש כבר מקום קדוש בהר ציון בסמיכות לקבר דוד המלך: כניסית הדורמיציון!!

ג. לפני שתחליטו – אנא בקשו ממזכיר הממשלה הבהרות: מה נעשה עד כה, כש-2 דתות טענו לאותו מקום קדוש??

למשל – הר הבית הוא מקום קדוש ליהדות וגם (על פי הנטען) לווקף המוסלמי. האם ממשלת ישראל מאפשרת תפילות יהודיות ציבוריות בהר הבית? ואם לא, אז מה פתאום לאשר תפילות נוצריות בקבר דוד המלך?!

You, the Chief Rabbis of Israel, have been asked to authorize religious Catholic ceremonies ("mass") at the resting place of King David on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. Until now, Christians visited the site only as tourists. If you allow mass rites – to please the Pope who is on his way here – this automatically changes the status of the site symbolically.

Please do not authorize this. Israel's commitment to freedom of religion is as strong as any other country's. But the cardinals in Rome (or England) would never give a nod of approval if Jews were to suddenly demand to hold Yom Kippur shofar blowing in the Sistine Chapel or megilla readings in Westminster Abbey!! Note also that Christianity already has a holy site on Mount Zion, right next to the resting place of King David! http://en.wikipedia..org/wiki/Dormition_Abbey

Instead of rushing to give the ok, please first ask the Prime Minister for MORE INFORMATION. The main question is: what is customary here in Israel, in OTHER sites which are claimed to be holy by 2 different religions?? For example, the Temple Mount is sacred to the Jews and reportedly also to the Islamic Wakf – can the Prime Minister send the Chief Rabbinate a detailed description of whether and how Jewish prayer ceremonies are held at Temple Mount? And if Jewish prayer ceremonies are NEVER held at the Temple Mount – why should the Chief Rabbinate suddenly approve Christian prayer ceremonies at King David's resting place??

שלום רב לראשי המועצות בגוש עציון, בנימין ושומרון – אתם מאד יקרים לנו ויש לנו כבוד רב אליכם,

יש שמועות רבות על הרס צפוי — אולי אף קטסטרופה – בשעות או בימים הקרובים — במעלה רחבעם, מצפה אסף, רמת גלעד, גבעה 770…

האם ההרס הזה לא היה ידוע לכם מראש?

הרי כל מסע ההרס מתנהל לפי לוח הזמנים שפרסם הבג"צ!

לכם יש יועצים משפטיים בשכר – הם יודעים כל זאת יותר טוב מאיתנו!

מדוע הדוברים שעובדים בשכר במועצות, לא התבקשו להזהיר את הציבור הנאמן בעיתוני השבת האחרונה?

האם פורסמו גינויים חריפים כנגד בוגי יעלון – או לפחות כנגד המעשים עצמם – מצד ראשי המועצות ואם כן איפה ומתי?

מדוע המחאות שישנם, הם מעשי-ידי מתנדבים בלבד? האם היתה עזרה מעשית מטעם נבחרי הציבור, ראשי המועצות?

מדוע לא מורגשת שום רוח קרב שיוצאת מן המועצות, מדוע ראשי המועצות לא ניצבים בראש המחנה?

איזה מסר אנו שולחים לבוגי יעלון, אדריכל ההרס, אם ראשי המועצות אינם מתנדבים להטיח בפניו את המסר הזה, כנבחרי הציבור הנבגד?

מצילים את הבתים במעלה רחבעם

תושבי מעלה רחבעם קבלו הודעה שבימים הקרובים ייהרסו 3 בתים בישוב.

בתים עם משפחות וילדים.

הישוב – על שם השר והאלוף במיל. רחבעם זאבי (גנדי) שנרצח ע"י מחבלים — שזו חוצפה בפני עצמה.

אבל העיקר: עשרות אלפי בתים אינם מוסדרים — בכל רחבי הארץ — ומשום מה שם לא מזדרזים להרוס. ההפך, הממשלה דווקא עובדת על הסדרת הבנייה הבלתי חוקית, אבל של מי? של המגזר הבדואי הפרוץ, כמובן. אז למה במעלה-רחבעם מתעקשים להרוס? מקוממת במיוחד העובדה שלמתנחלים הרי לא נותנים לבנות באופן חוקי! אבל הורסים, כי "שלום עכשיו" לוחץ — להרס פוליטי של המתנחלים. לנקמנות.

חייבים למחות. אנא פנו לחברי הכנסת ובקשו מהם: הפסיקו לאמלל את היישוב מעלה רחבעם! לעצור את הבולדוזרים ולחבק את הילדים! הוסיפו מכתב אישי, אם יש לכם זמן וכושר כתיבה. ואנא – העבירו הלאה.

Saving the houses in Maaleh Rehavam

The residents of Maaleh Rehavam in Gush Etzion have been notified that in the next few days 3 of their tiny community's homes will be demolished. Homes with children and babies.

There are tens of thousands of homes throughout the country which are not properly registered, especially among the Arabs and Bedouins. For some reason nobody rushes to demolish them. The opposite in fact: the Government announced, long ago, its plans to approve ex post facto in the Beduin sector. So why insist on demolishing homes in Maaleh Rehavam? Because “Peace Now” is pressuring! This continued destructive binge against our brothers and sisters, the pioneers of Judea and Samaria, constitutes political vindictiveness, or lack of backbone, or both.

Feel free to raise YOUR voice in protest. Contact your members of Knesset and urge them to wake up and be fair: "Stop your bulldozers! We are ALL Maaleh Rehavam!" Add a personal letter of your own, if you wish. Email addresses are above, between the Hebrew and the English. The community of Maaleh Rehavam, by the way, commemorates the late Minister Rehavam Zeevi who was slain by a Palestinian terrorist.
