הנה העמדה הרשמית של ראש ממשלת ישראל בנושא יהודה ושומרון  –  
 
 “מניעת היווצרותה של מדינה דו-לאומית בין הירדן לבין הים, לצד מניעת הקמתה של מדינת טרור נוספת בחסות איראן. אנחנו נצטרך למצוא את האיזון בין שני הדברים הללו, והשותפים שלנו למשא ומתן יצטרכו גם הם לעשות ויתורים שיאפשרו לנו לשמור על הביטחון שלנו ועל האינטרסים החיוניים הלאומיים שלנו”,  http://www.inn.co.il/News/News.aspx/259759
