Minister Shalom from the Likud, why are you so intent on building a new PALESTINIAN city instead of building ISRAELI cities like Ariel, the Jewish capital city of the Shomron?

Also stress the democratic process: Silvan was elected by Israeli Jews to help Israeli Jews. He is NOT a Palestinian leader elected by Palestinian Moslems to help Palestinian Moslems, with all due respect.

 

If we all make an effort to participate, this will turn into an annual event. Let's go for it.

 

A couple of our recent efforts have been particularly successful. First, the Likud internal elections will NOT be postponed for 2 years, because of the strong political-public reaction that YOU helped generate (by volunteering to help in the elections). Also,  YES — Machpela –Tomb of the Patriarchs & Matriarchs in Hebron – is now on Israel's official List of Heritage Sites, due to pressure from the right (the MKs, us, and the settler community): http://www.jpost.com/Israel/Article.aspx?id=169115

This shows, again, that when the public and its representatives work together on the same issues, this is extremely helpful and useful. So, could you possibly think which friends and relatives have a pro-Eretz Yisrael orientation? If you would consider forwarding us their email addresses, we will approach them to see if they are interested in receiving the Mattot Arim emails as you do. The more people we have working, bolstering our elected representatives, the more successful we will be in future! Thank you for your cooperation, now and in the past.

On Sunday afternoon (14 Feb), the Ministers' Legislation Committee will be debating whether to legislate compensation (pitzuy in Hebrew) for our fellow citizens in Judea and Samaria who suffered economic damage due to the settlement freeze. Obviously all ministers MUST vote in favor of at least compensating for losses (broken contracts, need for rentals, etc). Please SMS to the relevant ministers – see ministers' cell phone numbers above. An example SMS: "On Sunday, pls vote YES to pitzuy for mitnachalim hit by settlement freeze. Thx! (add your name)"

השבוע התברר שבניגוד לכל ההבטחות, גם של ראש הממשלה עצמו, וגם של שר החינוך, משרד הביטחון לא יאשר יותר בניית כיתות וגנים ביהודה ושומרון.

OUT OF CONTROL

It's been promised so many times — the building freeze against Yehuda and Shomron will NOT apply to schools, which will continue to be built as usual. Both Prime Minister Netanyahu and Education Minister Gidon Saar have promised this to the public. 

 

But this week it turns out that Mr. Barak has no intention of approving construction of schools. This was discovered by  Knesset Members who heard it from a legal advisor of Defense Minister Barak. Here's background:
